About me
Kia Ora,
I’m Michelle Post, a New Zealand-born concert pianist, ESA Suzuki Piano Teacher Trainer, SECE teacher and currently Chair of the ESA Piano Committee, based in Uitikon near Zürich, Switzerland. I am married and have two wonderful teenagers and 2 crazy cats that keep me on my toes.
With over 35 years of teaching experience, my passion lies in nurturing students of all levels, from our youngest SECE participants to advanced pianists preparing for the world beyond.
Originally a Suzuki student myself, I pursued my formal studies at the University of Auckland (BMusPerf Hons), followed by a Master’s in Piano Performance at the University of Washington (MMus), and an Artist Diploma from the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne, Germany.
While I feel priviledged to have enjoyed a fulfilling pianistic career, my greatest joy comes from teaching and guiding students on their musical journey. Dr. Suzuki's philosophy of “Character before Ability guides me as I strive to help students develop not only as musicians but as well-rounded individuals who love what they do.
I regularly teach and speak at Suzuki workshops across all of Europe, and I am continually inspired by the warmth and dedication of the international Suzuki community to growing outstanding citizens and beautiful musicians. "Maybe it is Music that will save the world"
